 The Universidad del Valle is an
educational public state-supported university founded in 1945.
It has become one of Colombia's three most important universities and
the most important in the southwestern region of the nation.
There are at present eleven universities in Cali, among which the
Universidad del Valle stands out for its academic excellence in the
areas of health, humanities and engineering, and also because of the
developments in the areas of scientific and applied technological
research.
For that purpose the University has had the strong and continuing
support of several international entities and of other universities,
through inter-institutional cooperation agreements.
