The Universidad del Valle is engaged in promoting proper research and development in the local area. In order to achieve this, the university is eager to interact with research groups, industry and with society in general, both on a national and international level.Companies can benefit from the collaboration through consulting services specialized in tecnology to improve productivity and competivity. New companies can be found thanks to the devolpment of new products and processes. Research groups can get direct feed-back of the necesities and preocupations of society in general and the industry in particular.
In short, the University can collaborate in the definition, administration, execution, supervision, and consulting of projects, research and development; the University can simply help to initiate or can acompany you during the execution of the project.

The Universidad del Valle has a faculty of some 1000 members, including part-time professors. A good percentage of them hold doctor's, master's or other higher level degrees. Almost all of the full-time professors carry out research work in different areas. Research projects deal with such diverse subjects as environmental problems and energy needs, industrial development, agriculture, rural and urban development, natural resources and public health.

How to get in touch
The Research and Institutional Development Vice-Presidency promotes, supports, and coordinates the institutional research carried out by professors, scientists, graduate and undergraduate students.
